The Costa Blanca and Costa Cálida have a different ownership pattern to the rest of Spain: developments and communities with a very high proportion of seasonal owners — residents who are only there a few months a year, holiday-let properties, second homes — and, almost always, a vehicle access barrier at the entrance. It's a setting where traditional access control with a physical remote causes particular problems not seen as much in a permanent-residence community.
When an owner only visits in summer, the barrier remote sits in a drawer most of the year, gets lost between seasons, or ends up with a holiday-let tenant who never returns it. Every lost or unreturned remote means, at best, reprogramming the system, and at worst, replacing the whole control unit if it's an old system.
The automatic number-plate reading removes that problem at the root: the owner drives in without a remote or a card, and it makes no difference that eight months have passed since the last visit. There's nothing physical to lose, lend out or reprogram.

The second common problem in these communities is the recurring but non-daily provider: the gardener who comes once a week, the pool cleaning company, the maintenance technician. With a physical remote, someone on the board has to hand it out and, if the provider changes — which happens often when the community presidency changes — collect it back.
With temporary QR codes generated from HikCentral, that problem disappears: access is created valid only for the agreed day and time slot, the provider uses it at the barrier or reader, and it simply expires when the slot ends. When the provider changes, you just stop generating codes for the old one.
Everything is managed from HikCentral, accessible via app or browser, without the community president or property administrator having to be physically on site. Registering a new owner, generating a temporary code or checking who came in and when takes seconds from a phone.
It depends on each community's bylaws, but generally an improvement like this is approved at a residents' meeting like any other works project. We prepare a detailed quote and, if needed, a simple technical report to present to owners before the vote.
That's exactly the most common case on the Costa Blanca. The owner's number plate stays registered permanently even while they're away most of the year, and access works the same the day they return, with nothing to reactivate and no need to go through a caretaker.
The president or the administrator generates a code from HikCentral valid only for the day and time slot agreed with the provider. The provider shows it at the barrier or reader, goes in, and access expires as soon as the time slot ends, with nobody having to collect or hand over a remote.
No. Since provider access is temporary rather than permanent, there's nothing to collect or reprogram when the provider changes: you simply stop generating codes for the old one and start generating them for the new one. That's exactly the problem it solves compared with physical remotes.
No. The previous owner's number plate and credential are deregistered, and the new owner is registered. The rest of the community keeps normal access at all times, with no extra cost or admin for anyone else.
We prepare a detailed quote for you to present at the residents' meeting, tailored to your community's real turnover of owners and providers. No obligation.
